TL;DR. App Radar (by SplitMetrics) publishes three self-serve tiers on appradar.com/pricing, checked 7 September 2026: Essentials at €69/month (2 apps, 500 keywords, 25 competitors, 1 seat), Growth at €169/month (10 apps, 1,500 keywords, 100 competitors, 2 seats), and Scale at €299/month (15 apps, 3,000 keywords, 250 competitors, 5 seats), plus a custom Enterprise tier. Its 7-day free trial requires a credit card and auto-converts to paid unless cancelled. Sensor Tower publishes no pricing at all — sensortower.com/pricing is a demo-booking form, not a price list, confirmed the same day on sensortower.com. If you want a number before a sales call, App Radar is the only one of these two that gives you one.

If you’ve narrowed a search down to these two, you’re comparing tools built for different jobs, not just different price points. App Radar is a self-serve ASO tool for tracking and optimizing your own app’s listing; Sensor Tower is a market-intelligence platform that estimates downloads, revenue, and ad spend for apps you don’t own, sold entirely through sales conversations. We checked appradar.com/pricing and sensortower.com directly on 7 September 2026 to confirm the figures below.

Which one actually publishes prices?

App Radar does, in full, on its pricing page. Sensor Tower doesn’t put a single number on its site.

PlatformsApp Store + Google Play, every tierCross-platform (iOS + Android) market data, not per-app management

As of today, sensortower.com/pricing shows no tiers or figures — only a demo-request form and a “we customize pricing plans for each customer” line. There is no self-serve path to a price.

What do you actually get for App Radar’s published price?

Essentials covers keyword tracking (500 keywords across 2 apps), competitor tracking (25 apps), and 50 AI-assisted review replies a month — enough for a solo developer running one or two apps. Growth roughly triples the app, keyword, and competitor ceilings and adds a second seat plus review summaries. Scale is built for a small studio: 15 apps, 3,000 keywords, 250 competitors, and 5 seats.

One detail worth flagging before you start a trial: App Radar’s 7-day free trial requires a credit card up front and automatically converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends. That’s a different mechanic from a no-card trial, and it’s worth a calendar reminder if you’re just kicking the tires.

What does Sensor Tower actually sell, if not a keyword tracker?

Its core product, App Performance Insights, estimates downloads, revenue, revenue-per-download, active users, and sessions for apps you don’t own — competitive intelligence, not a dashboard for your own listing. Sensor Tower’s site also lists separate custom-quote modules: Digital Advertising (ad-spend and creative tracking), Audience Insights, Web Insights, Video Game Insights, Playliner, a Gen AI offering, and a Sensor Tower MCP server for AI workflow integration.

None of that is keyword tracking or metadata management for your own app in the way App Radar’s entire product is built. If your actual job is “what’s my app ranking for, and what should my next metadata update say,” Sensor Tower isn’t competing for that job — it’s answering a different question about a different set of apps.

Neither vendor’s site describes writing a metadata change — title, subtitle, keyword field — back to App Store Connect or Google Play Console. Both are research-and-reporting layers; you still make the change yourself, the same gap we found comparing App Radar and AppTweak and Sensor Tower and AppTweak.

Which one should a solo developer pick?

If you’re tracking your own app’s keyword rankings and a handful of competitors, App Radar’s Essentials tier does that today for a published €69/month, with a trial you can start immediately (card required). There’s no equivalent way to try Sensor Tower without booking a demo, and no way to know in advance what it will cost — a real barrier if you’re comparing options on a lunch break rather than scheduling a call.

The one case for picking up the phone anyway: you need download or revenue estimates for apps you don’t own — sizing a category before entering it, or benchmarking a competitor’s install trend rather than just its keywords. Nothing in App Radar’s tiers replicates that at any price, published or otherwise.

The short version

  • Want a number without talking to anyone: App Radar — €69/month for 2 apps, 500 keywords, 25 competitors
  • Pricing page with no pricing on it: Sensor Tower — a demo-booking form, no tiers, no figures
  • Need download/revenue estimates for apps you don’t own: that’s Sensor Tower’s actual product; App Radar doesn’t attempt it
  • Watch the trial mechanics: App Radar’s 7-day trial needs a card and auto-converts to paid — set a reminder
  • Want research to end in a live App Store Connect update, not a dashboard: neither tool does this today — see Marteso

Where Marteso fits, and where it doesn’t

Full disclosure: Marteso is our product, so weigh this like any vendor’s self-description. Marteso connects to App Store Connect, tracks keywords, and generates AI-assisted metadata suggestions for title, subtitle, keywords, and description that you review and apply yourself — verified against marteso.com and marteso.com/docs on 7 September 2026. Pricing is transparent: a free Starter tier (2 apps, 50 keywords per app, 3 competitors per app, daily rank updates, no credit card) and Pro at €18 per app/month (unlimited apps, 500 keywords per app, unlimited competitors, AI metadata optimizer). It’s iOS-only, with no documented Google Play support, and it has no equivalent to Sensor Tower’s third-party download and revenue estimates for apps you don’t own. If competitive market intelligence across a category is the actual job, that’s Sensor Tower’s lane; if the job is tracking your own iOS rankings and drafting the next metadata change, that’s ours and App Radar’s.
